Cobras Sweep Hogs 8-2

By Lenny, 05/15/17, 8:30AM CDT

Hogs Can't Handle 14 Innings of Matty G in One Week

The Cobras took on St. Anthony hogs on Saturday for the 2nd time this season. The weather was sunny and hot, as were the Cobras bats to start off the game, putting up a 4 in first inning.

That's all starting pitcher Matt Germar was need as he went 7 strong innings, allowing 2 runs (1 earned?), enough to earn the MVP sword. Infielder Matt Youngquist closed the door in the 8th and Tyler Adams pitched a perfect 9th striking out 2.

The snakes would finish the day with 15 hits and 8 runs in the victory. The Cobras turn their attention to the Lyon's Pub Warriors on Monday evening for the start of league games at Parade Stadium.
