Apparently Saturday is not the only day for the boys...

The Snakes moved to 5-1 on the season with a perfect week of ball.  Despite a Monday rainout in what would have been the Park National League Opener...the Cobras made the most of the week beating Chaska on Wednesday Night and the Metro Merchants on Thursday Night.

Wednesday was a beautiful night for baseball in Chaska.  Mitch Waletzki tossed 6 innings of quality ball backed up by Ben Cjeka and Jack Hogan.  The Cobras had 12 hits and scored 3 runs in the top of the 8th to clinch it.  Final score was 4-1.  Sean hit some baseballs hard as usual.  Jack Schneider got off the Schneid...with a couple of laced singles, a frilly toothpick in mouth, and a bad ass swagger that left the Chaska Cubs shaking in their cleats.

Thursday the Cobras opened up Park National League play against the Metro Merchants.  Pitching again was solid as J.E. Urseth and Matt Germar combined for a 1 hit shutout.  Offense was on display as Sean Borman continued his hot streak with another night filled with lasers and RBI.  Jake Krause hit a double on one leg, the other leg was numb.  Gabe MacDonald hit a DeMarini double off the wall on what would have been a Dunwoody Ave shot with a real bat.  Final score was 12-0 in 5 innings.

The Cobras next game is Sunday at 2pm against Burnsville.
