Cobras Slip and Slide To A 1-2 Week.

By JE, 05/28/18, 11:30PM CDT

Cobras won a big league game, but the rest was a wash.

The Cobras lost a game to Burnsville on Sunday 7-2.  I wasn't there so it barely happened.

On Tuesday the Cobras won a big league contest against the Minneapolis Angels by the score of 5-2.  Joe Trier was excellent on the mound and the Cobras struck in the middle innings to put the game away.  Jack Schneider had a key single.  Sean Borman kept doing Sean Borman things.

Thursday the Cobras were rained out against the Minneapolis River Rats after the first inning.  The score was 2-0 Snakes...but that won't matter as the game will be restarted some time in Mid July.

Saturday the Cobras had 3 All Stars play in the TownBall Classic at Target Field.  The Minneapolis side lost by a score of 3-1.  Cowboy Jacks did get a considerable amount of business afterwards.  It was hot AF.

Monday the Cobras picked up a game with the State Champion Minnetonka Millers but fell 4-2 in a close game.  Pitching was as solid as it gets against a great hitting team, and the Snakes actually out hit the Millers.  Sean hit a mammoth bomb in the first.  Sammy B took a fastball to the brain compartment and had a nasty lump.  He is on the 7 day concussion protocol DL.  God Speed Sammy.

The Cobras have a busy week of ball starting on Tuesday vs the Blue Sox in PNL play.  Come out and enjoy a game, then a nice cider beer at Sociable Ciderworks...conveniently located next to the cathedral named North East Athletic Field.
